Bon voyage!

Well it looks like all of my obsessing has 'paid off', sort of, since I have finagled a way for Archie and I to go on the Barenaked Ladies Ships & Dip cruise to Jamaica and Grand Cayman! So, the next time you read this, I will (hopefully) have an updated post about our trip.

I'll catch up with you all in a week or so!

Another saturday night...

Waiting for Town Square Pizza to deliver our dinner. Shouldn't be too long, don't worry. I don't think we'll be starving anytime soon. :)

Got the playoff games going on tonight, and tomorrow also. Archie invited his coworkers over to watch the Giants game and consume his "famous" chili. lol... whenever Archie has a recipe for anything he's made more than once, it's his "famous" recipe. So, in preparation for folks coming over tomorrow, I spent most of the day removing the rest of the traces of Christmas from the house, and a long overdue cleaning. Things are mostly back in order. Oh yeah, and laundry. It was getting to be a little bit much. I need to set a goal for myself (like my goal to write here) to try to clean a room every day so it doesn't get so bad. Our bedroom is currently a disaster area. We'll see how well it goes doing that.

I hit a milestone yesterday. I am now 20 weeks pregnant, so that means its the halfway point. It's all downhill from here... lol. I'm going to go to what they call a Mom2Mom sale next weekend to see what kind of trouble I can get in buying baby stuff. A Mom2Mom sale (for those of you who have never heard of them... I hadn't before I moved here) is like a huge flea market (usually held in a church or school) of just stuff for kids & mom's. Usually it's just mostly baby stuff, and mostly clothes, but there's all kinds of stuff (toys, furniture, books, strollers, etc).

OH! I just realized I hadn't posted it here!! We had an ultrasound right after New Years, and we found out that we're going to be having a BOY! We're pretty excited about that, and Rachel has been right all along. Though, now that we found out it's a boy, she keeps saying she wants a sister... lol, what are you gonna do? She'll have to deal with it.

K, well, I've got to go watch for the pizza guy. I can't always hear the doorbell ringing from the living room. Talk soon!

Ok, I know I've said this before...

But I would REALLY like to make a better commitment to write here more often. I say this since I've been obsessing about the Barenaked Ladies lately (it's a band, for those of you not in the know), and got upset that the different members seem to take big breaks from posting in their blogs when things are slow. I realized that I really liked reading what they had to say because even if it was just a sentence or two, it gave me some insight on their personalities. So, I would like to keep you up on the small things that happen around here, but if I lapse, yet again, I apologize in advance.

Up early (4:45) because Millie was barking in her crate for some reason... usually means she needs to go out. Archie got up to let her out only to find the front door completely open. I forgot to latch the other side of our double front door when I brought the Christmas tree out yesterday It was locked, but the very strong wind blew it open. We knew immediately that we were missing one cat. Pat can't be around a barely cracked open slider door without trying with all his might to open it (and succeeding!). Sure enough, he was not in the house after a quick check. Our one saving grace was that it was rainy and very windy out. Mind you, if it weren't so yucky, the door wouldn't have blown open, but at the same time, the crappy weather prolly saved his sorry life. He was huddled under cover somewhere in our neighbor's yard and came BOLTING over and ran inside when he heard us calling (he normally NEVER comes when called). If he was about 20 feet further away from where he was, he would have been a kitty pancake on the 45 mph road we live off of.

Yeah, that was fun.

Anyone want to buy us tickets on the Carnival cruise that the Barenaked Ladies are hosting later this month? Should only be about $600 pp. I am really jealous of those that can go, but I'll just have to plan for next year's cruise. Who wants to babysit our 7 month old baby next January? :D`
